What is replaced?
- An account that is already suspended at handover.
- An account whose currency, country, spend history or threshold does not match what was stated.
- An account with administrative access or a manager link that was supposed to be removed and was not.
- An account carrying an unpaid balance that was not disclosed.
All four are states of the account at the moment it changed hands, which is the part a seller controls and can therefore be held to. Raise them promptly: a problem reported the same day is straightforward, the same problem reported three weeks and two campaigns later is not.
What is not replaced?
Suspensions that follow the advertising. Google judges the landing page, the offer, the creative and the payment behaviour, none of which the seller sees or controls. An account suspended for a policy breach in week two is a cost of the campaign, not a defect in the cabinet.
Be careful with suppliers who guarantee more than this. An unconditional replacement promise is either priced into the account, or it is not honoured. Both are worse than a narrow promise that is actually kept.
Does appealing work?
Sometimes. Google provides an appeal form inside a suspended account and does reinstate accounts through it, most often where the suspension was a policy misunderstanding and the advertiser can show the landing page and the offer match. Appeals against circumvention or suspicious payment findings succeed far less often.
Submit once, with the specific policy named and the correction described. Repeated identical appeals do not improve the odds and often close the route.
How do you keep this from costing a month?
- Run more than one cabinetTwo or three accounts in parallel turns a suspension into a share of the month rather than all of it.
- Keep the creative and landing page saved outside the accountRebuilding is an hour's work if everything is saved and a week's if it is not.
- Sit a manager account on topYour hierarchy and access survive while individual cabinets come and go.
- Watch the threshold, not just the budgetA failed charge stops delivery as effectively as a suspension and is entirely avoidable.
Common questions
Is a suspended account replaced?
A failure at handover is replaced: an account that is already suspended, does not match its description, or carries access that was supposed to be removed. A suspension that follows what you advertised is not replaced, by anyone, and a supplier promising otherwise is pricing that promise into the account.
Can a suspended Google Ads account be appealed?
Google provides an appeal route inside the account and sometimes reinstates accounts through it, more often for policy suspensions than for suspicious payment activity. Appeals are decided by Google on the account's own history, so a bought account appealing a circumvention suspension rarely succeeds.
Report a handover problem the same day
Anything wrong with the state of the account at handover is dealt with quickly if it is raised quickly.
